Dear Experian,
How do I get companies to remove negative remarks off my accounts? I also have an account with a zero balance that I paid off, and it's still on my report.

Dear ALT,
If the negative information is accurate, it will be deleted automatically seven years from the original delinquency date of the missed payment.
Paid accounts aren‘t deleted immediately, either. If the account has a positive history with no late payments, it will remain 10 years from the paid date. Doing so helps your credit history be retaining the positive account history.
The best thing you can do is to catch up on your payments and continue to make them on time until the negative details are removed. It sounds like you are headed in the right direction.
Thanks for asking.
